We have a great opportunity join us and take on a role as a Organics Supervisor. Are you experienced in plant operation and routine maintenance? Join our team as a supervisor where you will play a crucial role in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations within the composting operation. 

 

To supervise and manage the day-to-day operations within the composting operation.  Control and direct staff and contractors assigned; carry out operations as required for shredding, screening, turning and loading compost.Ensuring the site is clean and tidy, operations are carried out with due regard to the health and safety of all employees and contractors who may be affected by the operation, and avoidance of damage to plant, equipment and property.Operate plant and machinery and carry out daily inspection checks as required, complete defect and damage reports and other associated paperwork and follow the escalation process to the appropriate repair facility.Carry out routine servicing and minor repairs, assist fitters with other repairs. Plan and organise maintenance across various plant and sites as required to maintain all in good order.Together with the Operations Manager plan and organise composting operations across multiple sites. Ensure that sufficient resource is available as required to maintain a safe and complaint operation. Provide support to the operations as required.Provide a high level of customer service at all times to external and internal customers.Ensure uniform/PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty and is kept in a clean, tidy and serviceable manner in accordance with Company health and safety requirements.Safely and efficiently direct and control waste delivery vehicles in the green waste site area.Carry out site inspections, monitoring and checks as directed. Record findings appropriately. Maintain site records in accordance with company requirementsEnsure compliance with the site Permit, planning and H&S law.Liaise with regulatory inspectors from time to time as required.Be aware of and follow Coastal Group UK policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
